Welcome to Norwalk High School's Physical Education Department! The purpose of this website is to provide news and information regarding our program. Please browse through our site to learn about our activity offerings, see our extensive facilities, and learn about some of the special programs in our department. Program Philosophy The objective of the Physical Education program is to assist students to develop physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally through participation in a variety of activities. The program is organized so that each student has the opportunity to select and participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, lifetime activities, and personal physical fitness programs. Course offerings are reviewed each year and modified, if needed, to meet the needs of our students. Credit
Requirements Each Physical Education class meets every day for one quarter and is worth 1/4 credit. A student must earn 1 full credit in Physical Education in order to graduate; therefore, he or she must take and pass four Physical Education courses to meet the requirement. (1/4 credit x 4 classes = 1 full credit.) More Information For more information
